Construction

TRANSCITY JV  with Brisbane's Legacy Way tunnel operation.

Our brief for the billion dollar tunnel project was to create a tag and audit system to track the 44,000 pieces of concrete that made up the 4000 plus rings installed in this Brisbane City Council major infrastructure project.

A real time assessment of each concrete segment had to be collected from the Wagner production operation in Wacol to the holding yards in Archerfield and then finally the exact installation point within the tunnel. The system compiled hundreds of thousands of meta data details from concrete batch loads, re-enforcing specifications, QA assessments, location moves and final location points within the tunnel. The project ended after 30 months when the final concrete segment was secured and recorded into place.

We provided five staff for the initial development work and a project manager with two technical staff for the support throughout the life of the construction.

About Transcity JV

Transcity is the combination of three companies, a joint venture between Brisbane’s local civil engineering and construction experts BMD Constructions (BMD), Italian tunnelling specialists Ghella, and Spanish tunnelling and civil infrastructure giant Acciona Infrastructures. These three companies joined together in 2010 for the work on the Legacy Way project.

If you have a project that requires auditing protocols please send a meeting request with a brief outline of your requirements.
